One More Hug...

Today is the closing on my parent's house. Wow. It is over and it is time to move on. The new owners are family friends. They are a lovely family and I hope they find as much happiness as we experienced in the house.

The house is full of good Karma. I just wish I could give it one more hug. Not being able to to that I made this slide show. These are photos of what the rooms looked like the last time I was in the house and photos of how I will remember the rooms. Filled with love.

Dinner tonight... not sure, but I know there will be a Vodka Gimlet at the end of all this.

A special "Thank You" to the Smithereens for writing a great song!

Dear Lucia, Thank you for sharing your house and your family.
I know how you feel. It will always be your home and always have your heart.
I would have loved to live next door. Our homes seemed so similar, filled with family, food and love.
My family loved the fresh figs. My mom would dip them in honey and sugar.
I know your heart is hurting but the love and memories made you the beautiful person you are.
Blessings dearest and hugs, Catherine xo

Love it, Lenore emailed it to me, no I did not have a gimlet last night however after 3 glasses of wine and a little slip of vodlka I watched it with a little flog, so watched it again with coffee. How wonderful you have those memories filled with love and happy times. Your family is rear and so truly close and loving. Not all of us have that, so keep on embracing each other and your memories. Ciao

Lenore send me your blog, well done, I watched this after a few glasses of wine, so my eyes were a little flogged or was it mist? What a wonderful family and memories you share. Not all families have that. Keep as close and good you all are to each other. I have a few of Uncle Frank, Aunt Eleanor with Bob and me, the couple with Abbey Rose. I could feel the family love and happy even sad times watching your film. Thanks for sharing.
Ciao
