Warm Terrine of Sausage, Peppers and Polenta

I found this recipe online years ago on the Food Network site. It is from Mario Batali. I served it with a little Marinara Sauce on the side. (I made a large pot of it yesterday and divided it into small portions for the freezer). It looks like I was trying to spell something out with the Mozzarella on the top but I did not... maybe next time.

Today is President's Day and it is a day off from work. So what did I do... baked bread.
Actually I started it it Sunday morning and baked it today. It is the No Knead Bread from My Bread by Jim Lahey.

It came out perfect. Chris said it was better then one of his favorite bakery loaves! Don't you love comments like that! And I am taking part in the BYOB - Bake Your Own Bread blog. (So even the next recipe could be part of the baking experience...)

And I could not stop there... I have been wanting to make a breakfast bar. I found a reference to Baked Oatmeal last week. I googled the recipe and found this one on the All Recipes site and also learned that it is an Amish dish. It is a nice change from the store bought breakfast bars!

And Lucy got her nails done today.
There is no way I can cut them, she looks sweet but she is not as mellow as Archie.
