Spaghetti Squash Gratin with Chuncky Tomato Sauce

First let me start with an apology. I saw this recipe somewhere. It was linked to the I can not remember where I saw this recipe. Here is a link to the original recipe.
Of course I did make a change to the recipe. Here is why. I was not going to be home for dinner tonight. I was going to RJ Julia bookstore to hear Marissa Guggiana talk about her new book, Off the Menu. When I am not going to be home I like to leave Chris a decent meal. It is just what I do.
So I added ground meat to the Gratin. I sauteed it and seasoned it with salt, pepper, crushed red pepper and oregano. I added it to the layering of the Gratin. Topped it with Panko bread crumbs and baked for about 30 minutes. All Chris had to do tonight was heat it up.
So I walked in the house and it smelled good in here. I tried a small bite and wow it was great!
So what did I have for dinner... a small order of McDonald's fries! Eek! I was running late. I needed to eat something before going to the bookstore and it has been at least 6 years since the last time I had an order small fries. Well they were darn good. I knew with each bite I was doing harm to my body but it has been 6 years! I am not a saint...
